Wait, what’s happening?

Trump and his corrupt billionaire cronies are creating new barriers to make it harder for us to vote, because they know our vote is our power. With it, we can set the rules that determine the cost of our homes, apartments, groceries and gas. They will do anything for power, even attacking the right to vote.

We keep seeing them using the same playbook:

  • Making it harder to register to vote, cast a ballot, or know if it will be counted

  • Using fear and intimidation to keep people away from the polls

  • Spending big money to back candidates who'll do their bidding and drown out our voices

It’s up to us to make sure every eligible voter gets the opportunity to cast their vote and to encourage all of our friends and family that if they can vote, they should vote and vote early!

Why pledge to vote early? As Indivisible Co-Founder Leah Greenberg explains, aiming for the largest early vote turnout in American history:

is for a really specific strategic reason, because when you have a would-be authoritarian who's attacking the process of voting, the process of counting, the process of certifying, one of the most important interventions is overwhelming turnout early in the process in such a way where if there are problems, they can be identified and addressed early. If there are authoritarian attempts to disrupt, we can understand and see where they are and mobilize and plan around them. And we can create this kind of confident, enthusiastic, joyful, defiant vibe around voting that helps us to carry through the disinformation and the fear and the disruption that they are planning to spread.

We ask you to make a written pledge because the act of pledging has been shown to have a real effect on people's behavior.
